A few useful answers

Before your first set.

What MixRelay does, how the remote works and what to expect from the first beta.

What is included in each plan?

Free (£0): the desktop app, with playlists capped at 60 minutes and a separately tracked 60-minute playback allowance. No remote.

Desktop (£4.99/month or £49/year): all desktop features, unlimited playlist duration and unlimited playback. No remote.

Full (£9.99/month or £99/year): everything in Desktop, plus the hosted browser remote, remote library access, editing and uploads.

Annual prices are paid upfront. A lifetime 20% discount is available on paid subscriptions started during beta.

What is MixRelay?

MixRelay is a Windows audio player for party DJ work. It brings together an editable running order, searchable music library, two-deck playback and an authenticated internet remote.

Can I download the beta now?

The first public beta is coming. Alpha build 1.25.0 is in development, and the beta download, release date and Windows requirements have not yet been announced. See the beta page for the current status.

How does the 20% beta offer work?

Subscribe to Desktop or Full during beta and receive 20% off for the lifetime of your subscription. Desktop becomes £3.99/month or £39.20/year; Full becomes £7.99/month or £79.20/year. Annual prices are paid upfront and monthly offer prices are rounded to the nearest penny. The discount continues while that subscription remains active, including after beta. Free stays £0. See pricing and beta details.

Does a subscription include music?

MixRelay works with your own audio library. It is not a streaming music catalogue and does not include music or permission to use recordings. You supply the audio files for your set.

Which audio formats can I use?

FLAC, WAV and MP3 have been exercised during alpha development. Broader decoding depends on installed Windows support. The beta release will include confirmed format and system requirements.

Does the remote need an internet connection?

Yes. Your remote device and the paired Windows player need internet access for remote commands. Main audio playback takes place on the Windows computer.

Can I play the whole set from my phone?

Your phone can control the paired Windows player. That computer remains the main audio player. Remote-device preview lets you listen ahead on your phone or tablet.

Can I change the layout or theme?

Yes. Simple and Advanced layouts share the same playback session, library and playlists. Light and dark themes are separate choices.

How can I ask a question or share feedback?

Use the contact form for beta questions, feature feedback and subscription enquiries. Please include the app version when reporting an issue, and leave out passwords or private audio files.
